But it is definitely not a revolution from the entire device point of view or telecom market pov. And it looks too much "closed" to developers... Tom, I think iPhone can be revolutionary from the UI point of view and - hopefully - will be a trend setter for new UI frameworks for the different OS (symbian, win Mobile, even Linux) and technlogies (especially Java ME).

About OS X, that kind of system can really be stripped down to a mini version pretty much like Linux. I guess they've kept the OS X architecture and especially the 3D compositing layer.
